Break Through

Break Through

(Original Art by Colleen Yard; y.collen@me.com)

www.Noahsarkretreat.com is dedicated as a safe place where you and your children may gather to affirm your faith, and to re-dedicate your time for study of God’s Word. We want to serve your needs in helping to teach and remind the children of God’s ever present help in times of trouble as well as during times  which may seem ordinary, but in need of some joyfilled praise.

God’s light shines and overcomes the darkness.(John 1: 5)  In the painting, Break Through, light is covering and penetrating the ARK in a protective shield. It is a sign of hope and encouragement. It is a reminder God is looking over the whole earth. He is responsive to our needs and prayers. He hears our cries, and even understands the yearnings which are unspoken, but held deep within our hearts.

. . . the eyes of the Lord run to and fro through out the whole earth, to show himself strong on behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.  2 Chronicles 16: 9

O give thanks to the Lord.

Call upon His name. Make known his deeds among the peoples. Psalm 105: 1

As we gather two by two, in small groups, online or by cell phones, we may be certain God hears our prayers.  We need connection with others, intimacy with Our Lord, and a familiarity with a Christ centered extended family.

Nothing can separate us from the demonstrative Love of God which flows through and from our fellow believers, even if we are scatterd far and wide. God is ministering to us when we are alone with Him in study of His Word, and also as we join with others who are earnestlty seeking His abiding Presence.

During zoom gatherings of 2020 and 2021, Holy Spirit has been releasing new ways to graft us to Him and to one another. As the church left some of the buildings, the church (ekklesia) hunkered down to pray and to intercede for one another. We were gifted with a yearning to call upon the Lord and to serve as watchmen and watch women on the walls.

C.S. Lewis has written that “all of us can use sanctified imagery to reveal some aspect of God and his kingdom.”

Through teaching at www.tolcenters.org, Kelly Harper noted, “we are encouraed to give ourselves some credit that we can hear God’s voice.” John 10: 27

One of our prayer partners uses her art to pass on Holy Spirit’s encouragement. Colleen’s painting, Break Through, which shows the Light coming across Noah’s Ark served as a declaration of the certainty of God’s continuing grace over myself and my household. (www.noahsarkretreat.com) His Light redeems all. His Light overcomes the darkness of turbulent times. His Light covers the vacant, uncertain places. His Light shows us the truth and the way for us to walk. His Light is the break through we are waiting for. His Light is here now, in  every precious moment.

I share this entry in gratitude for God’s many blessings over the past year. Thank you, Lord, for binding us together in new and beautiful ways. Thank you, fellow prayer warriers for your earnestness, your fidelity and your sacrifices of time. Let us stay the course and not grow weary.

Acts 12: 17, 18 I will pour out my spirit on all flesh, your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my spirit in those days, and they will prophecy.
